What is the manufacturer of your graphics card chipset? If its Intel you're SOL.

Yah, its Intel, and is SOL a Company? I can play the game on the website just not on downloadable client. Here is a pic just to confirm the Problem.

SOL stands for shit out of luck. Minecraft will not work on computers with Intel graphics chipsets because they don't support OpenGL which is the life blood of Minecraft.

I guess I learned something new, but on the Minecraft Thread you shut down Minecraft, so I guess I don't get to play if I fixed the problem.

The server is back online. But the only way to "fix" the problem is to get a different graphics card. You may be able to find modded drivers that support OpenGL, but that's a pretty long shot. Good luck.

My sister just got the 560 in purple. I'm actually typing this on it right now. It's a good computer for that price range, don't let anyone tell you different. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the video card, or just buy a third party one. Integrated graphics are never a good thing, and you can get a good video card for $100 or a little more. If you have any questions feel free to ask, cuz I can give you some first hand experience.

Edit ~ O sorry Jor, just need this question answered then I'll get back to topic.

Personally I prefer Nvidia chipsets over ATI, and EVGA is about the best brand you can get. I run a EVGA Nvidia GeForce 9800 GTX+ (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130339), but this card is kinda obsolete now. Honestly, just look for something with a Nvidia chipset that's in your price range, and make sure that it an output that matches your monitor (use DVI over VGA) and it is the correct slot type so that it fits in your motherboard (prolly a PCI Express 2.0 x16). If you have any more questions, feel free to post them here.

You don't need to apologize to Jor. I'm authorizing this and I outrank him.

$1500 is a nice budget. You could probably get an i7 with that much. Just look around. If you stick with good solid name brands such as Dell, Alienware, Sony, ect., you probably will find something you like.

Shoot for something with Nvidia graphics chipset and wireless N.
